Because I believe in Alternative medicine rather than some conventional medicine?
I need to show these answer to the stupid fool who said I was then. See I dont even know how to spell it! Dont know where they got that Idea. I just believe in Natural healing with herbs and old rememdies. I used some and they work and they are cheaper than medication over the counter stuff. I do go to the doctor if its serious.

No. In order to be a Wiccan you have to actually practice the Wiccan religion. You know — abide by the Wiccan Rede, honor the Goddess and the God, celebrate our holy days…

The “Wicca 101″ section of the following website outlines it pretty accurately, in my opinion:

    http://wicca.timerift.net

No. You would have to take things a bit further than that Hun.

  3. chovhani says:

No. A Wiccan is a follower of a specific type of religion – Wicca. Some Wiccans are interested in alternative medcine, certainly, but the terms are far from synonymous.

  4. AM-viator says:

No. Unless you also gather in circles with hippie-goths, light incense, and cast spells for fire gods.

Oh, and make sure to cancel your health insurance, since you don’t believe conventional medicine works.

  5. dgrissmer says:

no, Wiccans believe in more than just that. I know Chrisitans who swear by alternative medicines like herbs, and alternative healing techniques like accupuncture. So no. Your not wiccan.

If you take your belief in alternative medicine to the next step and actually begin to heal people then yes, I think you can call yourself a Wiccan if you like.

  7. Nandina (Bunny Slipper Goddess) says:

Odds are if you can’t spell it, then you aren’t one… so I’ll go with “No”.

Aside from that, there is a lot more to Wicca than “alternative medicine”.

No… if you don’t even know how to spell “Wiccan” I don’t think you have that great of a grasp of the religion to begin with. Do you honor the god and goddess? Observe the symbolism of the changing season? Attempt to follow the Rede?

Alternative medicine has little, if anything, to do with Wicca.

  9. Ljf says:

nah unless you dancing around a cauldron making useless potions your not wiccian. Most wiccian people are attention seekers. (I know one. Proper AS!)

  10. maiingan2 says:

There are a lot of people out there who believe in alternative medicines and still believe in the organized religions. One becomes a Wiccan when one makes the choice to follow that path and starts studying. No one is born wiccan, nor becomes one overnight. You are just a person who believes in other ways to be healthy instead of taking drugs. If wicca interests you, then look up information.

You are safer not going to the doctor for most things. Too many of the meds they prescribe counteract other meds their patience are taking.

I don’t go to the doctor unless an ambulance is taking me.
