Does Medical Herbalism really work?

I have just been to visit a medical Herbalist. He took a complete list of all my medical history and then sent me away with a bottle of herbal tincture which he mixed himself and a tea. I need to take both 3 x daily.

The tea is not in little bags but is a mix of dried flowers and leaves etc which I have to brew up for 20 mins and then strain. I was also given some simple dietary advice and asked to come back in three weeks.

I have never been to a herbalist before. I went to a homeopath but it didn’t help at all. I am seeing the Herbalist for treatment of a homonal imbalance and migraine. Do you think that they will be able to help me?

What is you experiance of herbal medicine?

Some herbs work, others don’t. Some herbs interact with conventional medicine. Also the the mixture can be a problem. The more herbs you have been given, the higher the risk is, that you will experience adverse effects. Also taking the herbal remedy as tea can make it very difficult to get the right dosage. If you insist on taking herbal medicine it might be a good idea to get them as pills from a regular pharmacy. It is not uncommon that remedies obtained from herbalists contain contaminants. But above all. Be sure to inform your doctor (if you receive conventional treatment for your hormonal imbalance) that you are taking these herbal remedies on the side. It might be important for him/her to know that. Even if it is natural it can still be dangerous: http://whatstheharm.net/herbalremedies.html

I HAVE BEEN A BELIEVER IN HERBAL MEDICINE FOR OVER 30 YEARS.

I BELIEVE THAT MEDICAL DOCTORS ARE TIED IN WITH THE DRUG COMPANIES, AND ALSO RECIEVE A KICKBACK FOR PUSHING WHAT THE DRUG COMPANIES ARE GETTING RICH OFF OF.

ALOT OF THE NATURAL HERBS (THINGS THAT GROW NATURALLY ON THE EARTH) ARE DEEMED TO BE POISON BY THE GOVERNMENT, FDA AND THE MEDICAL FIELD.

    DO YOU KNOW WHY?

BECAUSE IF PEOPLE KNEW AND BELIEVED THAT THEY COULD PREVENT AND CURE WHAT AILS THEM “BY THEMSELVES!!”
THE DRUG COMPANIES AND ALL MEDICAL DOCTORS WOULD NOT BE AS RICH AS THEY ARE TODAY. IN FACT, THERE WOULD BE NO NEED FOR THEM AT ALL.

SOLUTIONS ARE THERE IN NATURE IF YOU REALLY WANT TO FIND THEM.

I HAVE CURED MYSELF OF ALOT OF SICKNESSES WITH HERBS I KNOW CURE THINGS.

A REALLY GOOD BOOK TO GET IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN “” IS BY JETHRO KLOSS, CALLED, “BACK TO EDEN”

STICK WITH THE PLAN. YOU WILL ONLY BE DISAPPOINTED IF YOU DON’T.

Herbalism helps a great many people, and has for centuries.

Follow the program for the three weeks, and see if you notice any improvements.

Even before the development of modern Western medicine, people in China and all over Asia have been using herbs and teas for countless millenia to prevent, treat and cure their ailments.

Even today, most Chinese rely on traditional herbal medicine to treat their ailments.

It is no secret that the average Chinese and Japanese have relatively higher life expectancies than the average American or European.

So does medical herbalism work? I would think so, yes!

But just be aware that some herbs can have counteracting effects on some medications, so it is best to ask all the questions and do diligent research before you start on an herbal regimen.

    Good luck!
